Police have confirmed the death of three persons, after a truck laden with goods fell sideways and collapsed on a passenger van.
The incident happened on Friday night at the Tallinding Buffer Zone filling station, where the truck carrying bags of OMO reportedly fell on the van parked on the road side.
The Police PRO, Spt. Lamin Njie, has confirmed the three deaths. Mr. Njie said the victims were evacuated to the hospital, and police have opened an investigation.
The goods transporter is believed to have come from the Republic of Guinea Bissau, and carries a tag GCCI number 13277.
Pateh Kebbeh, an eyewitness, said he was among the people who off-loaded the materials on top of the passenger van.
