The APRC No Alliance movement has made a commitment to cut cake, toast, and recite the Holy Qur’an for former Gambian dictator, Yahya Jammeh but his estranged FTJ-led APRC is still unsure of plans to celebrate the birthday of the former Strongman.

In fact, according to Doudou Jah, the birthday anniversary celebration is unIslamic and the best they could do for Mr. Jammeh under the circumstances is to recite the Qur’an and pray for his wellbeing.

But he said they are yet to agree on anything, regarding Jammeh’s 57th birthday anniversary, which killingly coincides with the publication of the government White Paper on the TRRC report and recommendations.

“We are having an executive meeting later and we will discuss it. But we don’t have any plans yet,” he told TAT.

Meanwhile, the APRC No Alliance has taunted the FTJ-led APRC to show why their love and appreciation for Jammeh should not be doubted as to his birthday anniversary sets in.

“They will not do anything on Jammeh’s birthday,” Jerrending Sanyang of APRC No Alliance said of FTJ-led APRC.

“But as for us, we will cut a birthday cake and recite the Qur’an for our beloved leader to show love and appreciation,” he said.
