The highly anticipated friendly football game between the Gambia national team and the Algeria national team has been cancelled.
Reasons for the cancellation of the game has not been advanced by both camps.
However, the Scorpions who are attending a training camp in Doha, had four of their players tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.
The only scheduled test game for the Gambia’s scorpions will now be against Syria. It is still not certain if that game too will be cancelled.
