A young man and staff of the National Audit Office in his mid twenties met his untimely death on Wednesday evening after he was violently attacked and stabbed by alleged Armed robbers along the Palma Rima Beach area, The Alkmaba Times can report.
Ousman Jarjue, a native of Jarrol village, Foni Jarrol District, West Coast Region, according to people familiar with the story went for a stroll with a colleague along the Palma Rima Beach in Kololi near SeneGambia when they were attacked by violent armed criminals who forcefully demanded their belongings and everything in their possession. When he resisted, Ousman was brutally assaulted and stabbed seriously on his ribs. He sustained severe injuries and eventually died while been rushed to EFSTH, in Banjul.
However, his colleague who complied and handed his belongings to them is safe. The deceased body is at the Francis small teaching Hospital in Banjul where doctors are conducting a postmortem as police continue their investigations into the matter.
‘Ousman is a very humble and hardworking young man who just returned from Tanzania for a training. We will surely miss him.” a family friend told Alkmaba Times.
