Today, the 10th of November 2021, our planning committee team has concluded to join alliance with UDP to further promote our organization’s principles and policies.

“His Excellency Ousainou Darboe and I have reached and concluded an agreement to join forces together and uplift each other’s movement to climb to greater heights.

“I encourage all Marie Dock ambassadors and all Gambians to stand with me in this new direction.”

Sock thanked her colleagues in her movement called the “Ambassadors of Change-Alliance of Social Democrats.

“I want to thank all of you standing with me through this journey, supporting and endorsing my candidacy.

“And, I want to thank you for being so patient, waiting for me to come online to speak and let you know the news that we are here to bring.

“We have come a long way together, and this is just the beginning.

“A lot has happened to us in the past week, from filing our presidential nomination, disqualification by IEC; and now to make a decision on where to go next to continue the alliance of social democrats vision.

“This decision is not based on political interest, but for our national interest.

“Marie Sock Alliance for Social Democrats stands for goodwill ambassadors and goodwill politicians.

“We are on this journey to change the dynamics of Gambian politics. We all must be united in one common goal.

“We must continue to engage all political leaders and parties, civil society, government agencies, private sector and all Gambian citizens to reunite and work together for the betterment of our motherland.

“We started this journey because we wanted to change the political system of the nation.

“We are going to use this opportunity to change and rebrand the new face of the UDP. Join us to make this difference.

“Thank you all so much, and we hope you climb on this great bus with us. Thank you.”
