Residents of Bakoteh reached out to the Alkamba Times about a baby found dumped in an abandoned compound around the football field by children who were playing at the spot.
Eyewitnesses also informed TAT that the body of the dumped newborn already started decomposing as it changed color.
Residents who spoke to TAT could not tell who the culprit was.
“We only informed the fire service and police about the issue and the rescue service later came to collect the remains.
The spokesperson of the Fire Service, Pateh Gibba told Alkamba that he is waiting for probes to reveal the official version to reliably inform the public. Gibba however, confirmed the story but pleaded for patience before the release of preliminary investigations.
