The Satayba boys bagged two first-half goals to see off a stubborn Falcons side as they match on to their six wins in their last seven matches in the pinnacle of Gambian football.
Brikama United Football Club continued their resurgent form with a 2-1 victory over Falcons FC, thanks to goals from Lamin Sambou and Ebrima Badjie.
Lamin Sambou gave the satayba boys the lead in the 13th when Ismaila Gibba picked him out from a crowded penalty area with a clever pass.
The mesmerizing Ebrima Badjie put the match beyond the reach of the league leaders, Falcons, with a towering header from Jonathan Correa’s corner in the 45+3 minutes. Bakary Touray scored a consolation goal for Falcons to reduce the deficit to 2-1.
Brikama United’s latest win has catapulted the Satayba boys to fourth place in the Gambia Football Federation Division 1 league table. The Falcons are still leading the table, but Real De Madrid can close the gap to 1 point.
