Coach Nyassi who has been nominated for the coach of the month heaped praise on his new signings Ebrima Badjie and Bubacarr Kebbeh though the latter had never played in the Gambian first tier.

“It will add a balance to the team, in terms of selection. We need competition in the team. I will try to bring a system that will fit the key players and see what is possible. I hope they will help the team, especially in the second round, we need experienced players.” Nyassi stressed.

Nyassi also lamented on lack of proper talent identification as it almost cost his side.

“The lack of nawettan disturbed us, we get most of our players from the nawettan. Bangura was spotted in the nawettan, it affected us, the number of matches we drew especially the starting of the league, 5-6 is a result of a slow start. Five players from Greater Tomorrow FC and Papis Nyassi also left, it’s normal but we catching up and working hard to put pressure on the leaders Real de Banjul”.

Nyassi’s team is second with just one point behind Real de Banjul and he is eyeing his second title as a coach.

“In the first round, our objective was to be part of the top three and gladly we have achieved that. Now our focus is on how we are going to maintain this position. We are looking for first, we need to win key matches at all costs. It’s going to be difficult and tiresome but it’s all about calculation,” He added.
