Yankuba Minteh was again influential, creating chances for Mats Wieffer, Georginio, and Swedish midfielder Ayari, although none were converted.

The visitors opened the scoring through Brazilian Tiago, who converted a 22nd-minute penalty. Danny Welbeck made it 1-1 in the 74th, turning in a precise cross from Minteh.

Minteh nearly found the winner himself, but his effort was blocked before Hinshelwood volleyed home the rebound in the 84th minute to seal a 2–1 victory.

Brentford had a stoppage-time chance to equalise when Schade was fouled inside the box, but Tiago’s weak penalty was comfortably saved by goalkeeper Verbruggen.

In the Championship, Derby County saw their five-game winning streak come to an end as Watford mounted a comeback from 2–0 down to win 3–2. Sanderson opened the scoring in the 36th minute, with captain Ebou Adams involved in the build-up.

Ukraine

Baboucarr Faal netted a brace in Rukh Lviv’s 4–2 win over Kudrivka, scoring in the 28th and 87th minutes to take his league tally to five. Despite missing two additional chances, Faal’s goals proved vital in Lviv’s fight for survival.

Shakhtar Donetsk U19 striker Muhammadu Kanteh scored four times in a 5–0 demolition of Obolon. It is the second time the former Wagadu forward has scored more than a hat-trick in a single match, taking his remarkable tally to 16 goals in 10 appearances.
