The Gambia Police Force today confirmed that a collision of two vehicles at Bambako in Kiang along the Trans-Gambia highway has claimed the lives of five and injured three people who are currently in treatment at a hospital.
Confirming the accident to The Alkamba Times, Muhammed Darboe, deputy spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force, said that five people were confirmed dead in a fatal road accident at Bambako on the spot while three others were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
He added that a car brand mark BMW and a truck collided, but the police could not establish the actual cause of the accident.
