Foday Trawally and Yankuba Minteh maintained their spots in the team of the week for a consecutive week.
Foday scored twice against FC Kuressaare to take his tally to four goals in his last two matches.
JK TALLINNA KALEV is currently occupying the European spot, and many thanks go to Foday Trawally for single-handedly winning the last two games away from home for them. Trawally is among the four joint top goalscorers in the league.
He says more to come from him and the team this season.
“These goals are very important for me to regain my confidence because the beginning of the season has been tough for me due to minor injuries, and my fitness level wasn’t 100 percent. Now, I’m happy that I’m back to full fitness and started playing again, which is very important. So these goals will motivate me to keep going, and hopefully, we will add more goals before the end of the season,” Trawally told TAT Sports.
“My target is always to get better every year. So my target this year is to be better than last year, even though I had a fantastic season last year, scoring eight league goals as an attacking midfielder. That was a good run; my target this year is to have an outstanding season and see what happens. Then, I can take the next step in my career.
“The team’s target is made to make the top 3. At the moment, we are on a good run. We must keep the momentum and cue like this; hopefully, we will achieve our goals.”
Yankuba Minteh earned his name in the team of the week for the fifth time. Minteh was in top form. He created a penalty before doubling Odense’s lead. The 18-year-old scored four goals, assisted four in his first season, and was voted man of the match on Saturday against Lyngby.
Minteh was named in the team of the month in April and won 12 duels.
