Alieu Jamanka, a former journalist has been appointed as the new deputy spokesperson of The Gambia Police Force, Police sources told The Alkamba Times.
Jamanka, who worked with various newspapers in the country for the past 15 years was enlisted into The Gambia Police Force (GPF) in 2014.
Jamanka who united his appointed has worked in various units of the Gambia police force including the Criminal Investigations Department, Police Intervention Unit, Anti-Crime Unit, Interpol, Charge Office & Prosecution unit will be assisting Spt. Lamin Njie, the spokesperson of the GPF.
Until his appointment, Jamanka was the deputy station Commander at Amdalai Border Post. He is bilingual and holds an advanced diploma in Criminal Intelligence
