Dembo Darboe and Ebrima Jarju in Super Cup triumph, while Alasana Jatta scored his first league goal of the season.

FC Astana won their sixth Kazakhstan Super Cup following their 2-1 win over Ordabasy. Dembo Darboe scored from the spot to restore Astana’s lead. The debut goal is Dembo’s 49th goal in 110 international club appearances. Dembo has now scored three goals in his last three debuts.

Paide upset Flora 3-2 to win the 2023 Estonian Super cup. Paide came from behind to shock the defending champions. The Premium goalkeeper of the year, Ebrima Jarju, has now won two international trophies.

 

Serie A

Musa Barrow and Assan Ceesay maintain their positions in the starting X1 of Bologna and Lecce following their impressive performance last weekend.

Orsolini’s goal gave Bologna victory as Inter once against saw Scudetto’s hopes vanish at the Stadio Da’Ara. Musa Barrow gave Bologna the lead in the 12th minute, only for it to be turned down by VAR.

Sassuolo earned a surprise victory away to high-flying Lecce. Assan Ceesay played 45 minutes for Lecce.

France – Ligue2

Metz completed the double over Nimes and is unbeaten in their last 11 meetings. Ablie Jallow returned to the starting XI and played 88 minutes. The Gambian international missed the previous two matches due to injury. Youssef Maziz headed Jallow’s cross to double Metz’s lead. Saturday’s results have put Metz in the playoff position, and they also haven’t lost a league game since the beginning of the year.

Quevilly-Rouen moved to 3rd place on the log following three victories.

Grenoble Foot was held to a goalless draw at the Stade De Alpes. Abdoulie Sanyang played 72 minutes, while Saikou Touray came on from the bench in the 88th minute. Captain Brice Maubleu was the hero as he saved an 86th-minute penalty. Sanyang and Touray will head to Lyon on Tuesday for the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.

England – League 2

The Ammies ended a run of three games without a win as they beat Mansfield Town 5-2 in the Sky Bet League Two game at Field Mill on Saturday afternoon. Ibou Touray assisted Matty Lund in breaking the deadlock in the 18th minute. It was Ibou’s seventh assist of the season.

Denmark

Alasana Jatta scored his first goal of the season as Viborg thumped AC Horsens by 3-0 to move to second place in the Danish Superliga. James Gomez played the full throttle.

Odense BK lost 4-2 against FC Nordsjælland, with Yankuba Minteh returning to the starting XI.

CAF Champions League

Lamin Jarjou played 75 minutes as Al Hilal came from behind to beat Cotonsport 2-1 on match day three of the CAF Champions league. Lilepo’s brace at the Roumde Adjia stadium Garoua has given the Eagles their first away win since January 2020.
