Gambian international goalkeeper Ebrima Jarju made his home debut for Paide on Sunday afternoon in their 7-0 thumping of Kalev Tallinn.
Coach Karel Vooolaid was in the stands as Jarju kept his fourth clean sheet in the U21 against Ida Virumma.
Jarju was elated for his debut as he admits is a moment he has been waiting for.
“I was waiting for this debut mentally and was keen for this challenge because I knew it will come. Have been training hard and the confidence is there. Today’s debut is a motivation going forward.” Jarju indicated.
“I came here to concentrate and develop more. I am extremely pleased with the fan’s and players’ reactions”
Jarju was called upon on four different occasions which saw him keeping his composure as he made decent saves.
The first was a one versus one situation before saving the other three shots later on in the game.
“The moments that I had in the game made me happier than the clean sheet, those moments in the game allowed me to showcase my qualities.” He added.
Also, Ebrima Singahteh was introduced in the 61st minute to make his eighth league appearance, and the 18- year-old went on to create a penalty which was converted by Saarma before setting the same player up to register his 3rd assist of the season.
