Gambian international striker Assan Ceesay is said to be a transfer target of Ligue1 clubs Lyon, Marseille, Saint Etienne, and RC Lens ahead of the impending transfer window.
Interest in him has not only come from France but even from Holland, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the Gulf.
The 28-year-old striker who is valued at €2million has scored 18 goals and provided 8 assists in the current Swiss Superleague with three games remaining.
There are also growing from Saudi Arabia and UAE for his services.
Ceesay’s representatives are quick to point out that he will remain in Europe for the next three seasons.
Swiss champions FC Zuerich has offered Assan a new contract but nothing has been agreed upon yet.
Basel FC who Assan scored twice against this season is also said to be in the race for the signature of the Gambia number nine.
Assan who is a record goalscorer with the national team will be taking on UAE before a doubleheader against South Sudan and Congo in the African cup of nations qualifiers.
