Former Banjul United and Gamtel midfielder Abdoulie Kah has joined Senegalese league A side Stade De Mbour, for a one-year loan from his parent club, Gamtel FC, in The Gambia Football Federation Division One League.
Abdoulie was among the most outstanding players in the just concluded national Division One League (2021/22 League Season). Despite his poor team run in the season, he was invited to the Gambian CHAN team, who were knocked out in the preliminary rounds of CHAN qualifiers by Guinea Bissau.
“I’m not surprised that Abdoulie secured a move out of the country simply because he is a very hard-working player and sacrifices a lot for the game,’ Ebou Jarra, one of the coaches that coached Abdoulie in the club,” told the Alkamba Times Sports.
“Modern football demands a lot, and if you want to reach the top, you have to sacrifice much in your life, and ‘Lie,’ as he is fondly called, has impeccable character and will easily settle in his new club and can cope in any environment as a professional player,” Jarra said of Kah.
