The president of Team Restore Confidence, Sadidou Kamaso, on Sunday brought to an end an eventful week where he both had capacity building for the Secretary General of national league teams and a scouting event.
The event saw Musa Barrow’s agent, Luigi Sorrentino, Bugra from Turkish club Fenerbache and Alexandro from Frosinone screening players at the KG5 mini stadium.
Kamaso gave his impression to the TAT sports desk after four days of scouting. The wrap-up of the weekly event was at YMCA, where a capacity-building program was held.
“We are not stopping. We are in football. We are around irrespective of whether we are at the helm of affairs as a football federation. Football is something we live and breathe. Therefore, we will do everything possible to contribute our quarter to develop Gambian football.” Kamaso told TAT Sports.
“We realized the need for training for PR and communication personnel. So we are looking at how we conduct more training, programs, and activities that will benefit stakeholders.”
Eight players from the 47 who passed the screening finals will be transferred to European clubs.
“Our objective is to create networks to convince more clubs and scouts to come and look at our players. This scouting mission is to give kids the opportunity to showcase their talents so that they can be scouted and taken outside of this country. This scouting thing will be an annual thing,” he added.
