Minteh inspires Brighton to come back against Chelsea, brace for Pa Omar Babou and Omar Jarju give Brabrand all three points against Thisted FC

Brighton Albion stunned 10-man Chelsea as they came from behind to win 3-1 thanks to Danny Welbeck’s brace and De Cuyper’s goal.

Minteh had a tough challenge with Spanish international Marc Cucurella; things changed when Trevoh Chalobah was shown a red card eight minutes into the second half. Yankuba Minteh created Brighton’s first shot on target following his cross to Welbeck.

Minteh contributed to the build-up to the second goal, and his intense pressure led to the third goal as well.

Italy
Alieu Fadera came off the bench to assist Iannoni; Fadera held the ball up well on the left flank before floating in a cross for a fellow sub to head home in the middle of the box.

Sassuolo picked up their second win of the 2025-26 Serie A season with a convincing 3-1 victory over Udinese, which was Alieu’s fifth appearance of the season. However, he hasn’t started a game.

Joseph Ceesay scored his first goal for Empoli FC off the bench as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Carrarese in the Italian Serie B on Sunday.

Austria
Abubakr Barry maintained his position in the Wien derby, and gladly so, he scored and assisted in their 3-1 win over Rapid Wien. Barry has two goals in eight appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Barry had the most tackles (4) in the match and misplaced only 6 of his 26 passes. He won 6 recoveries and came on top in 6 duels in the game. He has now scored in two straight league matches.

Estonia
Bubacarr Trawally got his third goal involvement following Paide’s 3-2 away win against JK Trans Narva on Saturday. Trawally converted a penalty by putting it in the left corner in the 13th minute.

Miller doubled the visitors’ lead in the 26th minute. Trawally initiated the counter by passing Luts the ball, who then crossed it to Miller.

By the half hour played, the visitors were cruising with a 3-0 lead. Trawally’s pass was well received by Luts, who went past two defenders before scoring a magnificent goal.

Denmark
AC Horsens have now been handed back-to-back defeat following their 2-1 defeat away to Hilleröd Fodbold. The results sent the host to 2nd on the table, while AC Horsens dropped to fourth position with 18 points after 11 matches in the Danish First Division.

Alagie Saine was making his fifth start of the season, and the Gambian went on to assist Croatian Roko Baturina for the leveller in the 70th minute. Adrian Justinussen restored the host lead after seven minutes with his seventh goal of the season.

Brabrand are picking form following their 2-1 win (D1, L1 & W2). They left it late in their home match against Thisted on Saturday thanks to Omar Jarju’s 90+3-minute goal.

This is the first goal for the AC Horsens forward. He won a duel against the host defender, cutting the defender after a brilliant run before sending it to the top corner.

North Macedonia
Shkëndija registered their sixth win in eight matches following their 2:0 win over Sileks. Sunday’s clean sheet is GK Baboucarr Gaye’s fourth clean sheet in eight matches and three in a row.

Saudi Arabia

Omar Colley captained his side, Al-Diriyah Club, with a clean sheet in a defensive display as they beat Al-Wehda 2-0 to record their second win of the new league season in Saudi Division One on Sunday.

Hamza Barry scored his first goal for his club with an 80th-minute strike that inspired Al Zulfi Club to a 2-1 comeback win over Al-Batin FC in the Saudi Division One on Sunday.

Philippines
Saikou Ceesay registered his fifth goal of the season following his sole goal against Taguig FC.

Bangladesh Premier League
Pa Omar Babou’s second-half brilliance stole the show against defending champions Mohammedan.

Pa Omar scored twice in the 61st and 69th as Fortis secured victory at the Kings Arena on Saturday.

Pa Omar opened the deadlock with a powerful left-footed strike from outside the box following substitute Sajed Jummon’s sharp pass.

Babou extended Fortis’ lead in the 79th minute, finishing a counterattack he had initiated with a long pass to Riaz Sagor. He returned the ball with a cut-back for the Gambian forward to volley home.

10 man Rahmatganj MFS drew goalless against Abahani Limited Dhaka. Former Armed Forces and Falcons FC attacking duo were handed a start in the premiere opener, with captain Kanform playing the entire game while Adama Jammeh was changed in 82nd minute.
