Having shown that technique, application and football intelligence are what matter, whatever your age during the AFCON in Cameroon, Gambian young star Musa Barrow has earned himself some recognition as he is named in the 40 most outstanding player list of the just concluded AFCON.
Barrow who was orchestrating all the attacks of the Gambia during the AFCON found his name on the same list as Sadio Mané, Muhammad Salah, Vicent Aboubakar among other top African players.
Borrow won the man of the match award twice in five of the games he played for The Gambia. The young prodigy also scored two and assisted two of the four goals scored by The Gambia during the process.
The Gambia and Bologna’s forward is the only Gambian player on the list. This is another moment for the first-timers in the AFCON to brag about.
