Musa Juwara has signed a three-year contract with Danish Superliga outfit Vejle.

The Gambia U23 captain leaves Bologna, where he played 13 Serie A matches and scored once. He previously went on loan to Boavista, Crotone, and Odense BK.

The former Chievo Verona youth player spoke exclusively to the Alkamba Times after being unveiled at the Vejle Stadium.

“With Vejle, I will be given the chance and opportunity I have been missing for a while. The excellent atmosphere; Hamza convinced me to come,” Juwara told TAT Sports.

“I have found the environment I have been missing for a long time.”

“I was invited to watch their games. They wanted to show me the setup, and I met the director. I am convinced of the club project and its goals. I was privileged to meet the coach; he was even interested in me when he was in Croatia. This season will be my season. I want to show people that I am back. I am hungry to do it. Score goals and return to my top form to the national team. I was sad seeing people going to the national team and couldn’t join them because of lack of playing time.”

Juwara further thanked Bologna for the opportunity they offered him as he shot into the limelight.

“Great experience to play in the Serie, scoring goals. I am happy that I fulfilled my dreams. I am leaving them with Mixed emotions, a bit sad because I spent three years there. I feel happy that I am going to an environment where I will play and develop myself. To take this opportunity and other steps in my career. Denmark is a league where all eyes are there.” He added
