Real De Banjul emerged victorious in the Banjul derby thanks to a hat trick from Bakau-born Mustapha Jallow.

To cap a brilliant game, he found the net in the 12th, 66th, and 87th minutes.

The match ball winner, who scored his 26th club goal, said that the hat trick was the missing piece in his goal statistics, and he has now achieved it.

“It motivates me to keep pushing harder because I know I can do more, and I believe in myself too. I feel happy and motivated to do more because it is my duty to score goals as a striker; that is always expected of me. I’ve played all derby games in this league and have been scoring against all the big teams in the GFF league. The only thing new is the hat trick, and I’m looking forward to keeping scoring as many as I can.” He stressed.

Bah, who was starting his fifth season, said the title race would go down to the wire.

“It was an important win for us. We have three more games to play for nine points, so we still have something to play for that is not yet over. We hope to win all our remaining games and pray that they (Hawks FC) drop a point. All matches are equal to me because playing with these lower teams is more difficult than playing with the big teams.” Bah added.
