Cadet-ASP Modou Musa Sisawo expressed his commitment to serving the Gambia Police Force in his new role as Public Relations Officer (PRO), vowing to do his best in a brief interview with TAT.
” I am honored to have been given this rare opportunity to serve as the PRO of The Gambia Police Force. I appreciate the confidence accorded to me by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Seedy Mukhtar Touray, and his leadership for the trust. I promise to do my best in the services of The Gambian People,” Cadet ASP Sisawo told Alkamba Times.
Cadet ASP Binta Jatta, the first woman to hold the position of Police Spokesperson, is replaced by him after her two-year tenure.
With a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from The University of The Gambia, a Certificate in Nursing (SEN), a Postgraduate degree in Clinical Research, and a Master of Science in Public Health Management, Cadet ASP Sisawo showcases an outstanding academic record.
He also has a Master of Arts in English (ABD) and is pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Journalism and Communications at the Media Academy for Journalism and Communication.
Before joining The Gambia Police Force, Cadet ASP Sisawo gathered more than fifteen years of experience while serving at the Medical Research Council Unit (MRC Fajara) in various positions, including research nurse assistant and nurse coordinator.
He served as a medic at the Police Clinic in Kanifing and State Guard State House, then joined the Human Resource Department before becoming a Press & Public Relations Officer.
