WOMAN
____________
No woman No cry,
No sweet honey from my mouth,
No dear tears from my eyes.
Teach a woman how to write,
She would plant her tree with pride,
Even in the burning issues of crimes,
Her voice would echo nothing to fright.
Solving her problems seven feet deep.
Singing the profound prose of Power,
Clutching the string of her kora,
Changing the world within an hour,
The human heart with Knowledge.
Contributing immensely to her children.
‘Making hay while the sun shine’.
No woman No cry,
No sweet honey from my mouth,
No dear tears from my eyes.
Our pronounced promised land of heaven, Taken her lead without any grains.
That no coward man can stand her strength.
Her strength is a glowing wind of air,
Buried in her breastfeeding veins.
Succulent to her own sweats of oath.
The gifted patriotic woman,
Trustworthy in her school of justice.
In the Quran she was told,
Her inheritance she solely own,
Her rights to speak her heart oppinion.
To pray and praised and choose.
For her business In my Jembe tone,
She did it with love and support.
“Na Kora Juloo,
“Na Mussu fingho,
Na Mussu Koyoo”,
No woman no cry,
No sweet honey from my mouth,
No dear tears from my eyes,
Chanting the liberation of women,
We are born to rise and shine.
