In a press release, the Pastef, party of Ousmane Sonko, indicated this Saturday August 6 that the opponent was “admitted to the emergency room”.
In detention since July 31, the Senegalese opponent, who is also mayor of Ziguinchor, has been on hunger strike for eight days.
According to members of his party – which was dissolved by presidential decree – Ousmane Sonko suffered from no known illness and was well before his incarceration in Sebikhotane, a prison 40 km from Dakar.
