The Serekunda East Sports Development Association( SESSO) is set to organize its first-ever awards-giving ceremony, which will recognize special talents that have lit up the Serekunda East Nawettan.
Babucarr Krubally, the Media and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Serekunda East and Sports Development Association (SEADO), told The Alkamba Sports that the award night is organized to recognize the individuals and groups of individuals people who have contributed immensely towards the completion of Nawettan in Serekunda East.
“Well, we organize the awards night to recognize the efforts of individuals who, in one way or another, help to have a successful Nawettan and Super Nawettan, respectively.
I believe it will boast the morals of the nominees and motivate the young ones to also out in a respectable performance to be part of nominees next season,” Babucarr Krubally said.
The public will have a chance to vote for deserving individuals of their choice through a voting process via Africell. The public voting system through SMS will amount to about 50%, and the expert panel judgment will also be 50%.
“Well, the criteria used are based on team performance, individual performance, and discipline.
The criteria used to determine winners in all categories are two. One has just started the voting process via Africell, which is 50%, and then finally to the technical committee to determine the winners in all categories.” Babucarr Krubally explains.
The Awards Night is slated to take place on the 17th of June at the famous Semega Janneh Hall complex in Serekuda East.
The event will be a long day with fans club entertainment, speeches from former committee members and other prominent stakeholders of SESDO, and the draw for the 2023/2024 Nawettan.
