Paide’s Gambian forward Bubacarr Tambedou is elated following his debut senior goal for the Estonian outfit in Wednesday’s 4-2 victory over JK Narva Trans.

The 20-year-old left-winger, who has 10 goals in 11 matches with the Esiliiga came off the bench to score his side’s fourth goal at home.

Tambedou stressed that he is pleased with his first senior league goal as he hopes to bang in more after making his mark with the junior side.

“I am very happy to score my first goal, I have been knocking on this opportunity. I have regained my confidence in the senior team just like how I was playing with the junior team. I am earning the trust of the coach and players, more goals will come ahead.” He stated

Nõmme Kalju FC are five-time finalist of the Estonian Cup will take on Paide Linnameeskond on Saturday with a UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round spot at stake for the winners.

The skillful attacker is buzzing to go all out as he is eager to play in a European competition.

“I am having a cool head, go there play well if I am given the chance, and hopefully win the cup.” Tambedou confidently emphasized.

It was the first time that the former Real de Banjul trio featured together in a league match. Ebrima Jarju started in goal while Ebrima Singhateh scored a brace following having completed the full 90 minutes. Tambedou replaced Robi in the 56th minute and went on to open his premier league account with a close-range effort.

” I am used to playing with Singhateh when I was in the Gambia, it’s easier. Today he was coming to my area and we had that connection, so it was so easy”. He added.
