Unconfirmed reports have it that the Tunisian Football Federation is keen on snatching Tom Saintfiet from the Gambia and making him the new Coach of the Carthage Eagles.
This came after the Tunisians were beaten by Tom and his inexperienced Gambia side at the AFCON group stages in what was a maiden appearance for the Gambia in the continental showpiece.

“I can confirm that team Gambia coach Tom Saintfiet (48) is wanted by the Tunisian FA as the new head coach of the Carthage Eagles. They’ll need to find agreement with The Gambian F.A”, he posted.
Rumors from within the Gambia’s camp also indicated that the Belgian is interested in moving away as Tunisia is willing to put a much better salary on the table for him.
Tom has had experience in African football as he coached nations Togo, Namibia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe before becoming the first coach in history to qualify the Gambia to the Africa cup of nations where they reached the quarter-finals in their debut appearance.
