Nego Hights, a US-based Belizean Afrobeat, Roots Reggae, and Dancehall artiste, has recently released a new Afrobeat song called ‘Go, Harder,’ available on all digital platforms worldwide.
The song was recorded at DOVE Muzik studio in Illinois by Wadadah II. It was mixed by both Wadadah and Nego Hights himself.
Hights explains that ‘Go Harder ‘is a song of motivation and inspiration to uplift any person going through challenging life experiences, especially by the hands of those closest to you or those you trust!
“My near-death experience inspired this song, as I call it after I became ill in January 2020. I recall feeling sick and falling asleep for three days only to wake up to realize I couldn’t walk – which lasted for about three months,” Hights said.
He added:” After a series of emergency room and Doctor visits, I was told to give up music and not to perform. So I tried to figure out my life without music and, most of all, performing my music. I couldn’t see it and decided I won’t give up on my dream. In fact, I decided to Go Harder than before, so I began preparing myself to do just so mentally.”
He said he spent the year 2021 seeing doctors and specialists who ultimately decided that his only fix was surgery, so he did in November 2021.
Hights went on to fully recover and is now actively promoting his new single Go Harder worldwide.
