West Coast Region clinched the first-ever Gambia Amputee Football Association League title with a dominant performance throughout the campaign.
This inaugural national league competition was organized by the Gambia Amputee Football Association (GAFA). It featured three regions of the country, namely, Kanifing Municipal, West Coast Region, and North Bank Region. These three regions assembled a team of amputated players in time for the maiden competition.
The tournament format showed all three teams playing against each other — offering every player the opportunity to play and compete. The league ended in a tight contest, with West Coast leading KM by three points in the ultimate game. Both teams were seeking a win to lift the title, and eventually, West Coast triumphed after a 3-2 win. .
