‘I am so excited to join this camp which prepares our young people to commit to the games development and wellbeing in the Gambia’, states the Regional Youth and Sport Coordinator Lamin Sima.

United Purpose official Lamin Manjang thanked the participants and coaches for the dedication already demonstrated and urged them to take advantage of the camp to understand the game.

Muhammed L. Saidykhan the project Initiator described the scheme as an important and a timely move necessary to resolve social issues affecting our younger generation.

“This camp is not only meant to play volleyball, we’ve included presentations such as Irregular migration, Sport for Development and peace building initiatives to give participants an educational and interactive session”.

The six day camp will see participants going through presentations on Irregular migration, Women’s role in Sport and ways to promote peace and development via sports alongside the sharing of opportunities for gainful youth employment in the country.
