Brikama United have agreed to extend the contract of the club’s head coach Modou Lamin Nyassi for a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Despite the teams inconsistent and lackluster campaign in last seasons GFF Division One League, the management agreed for the coach to be at the helm of affairs for the next two seasons with an undisclosed fee, the management confirmed to the Alkamba Times.
Coach Modou Lamin Nyassi was a former Brikama United player who also served as an assistant coach for six years after retirement, before being appointed as the head coach in 2017.
Reacting to the contract extension, the gaffer said this, “I’m very much excited to extend my stay with this great team because is the club I’ve known all my life”.
“It’s a very demanding club but as someone who understands the philosophy of the team and what the community demands from us, I will continue to do everything possible for the club”, Nyassi added.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Lamin Komma the manager of Brikama United and Matarr M’boge the president of the Gambia Football Coaches Associations who signed as the witness to the contract.
