Gambian players experienced mixed fortunes across Europe over the weekend, with Adama Sidibeh scoring his first league goal for Stockport County while several others made key contributions for their clubs.
England
Portsmouth FC moved further away from the Championship relegation zone after second-half goals from Gustavo Caballero (46’), Swift (55’), and Pack (67’).
Gambian midfielder Ebou Adams was heavily involved in the build-up to the second goal. Adams released Alli on the left, who surged into the box before cutting the ball back for Swift to score from 12 yards.
Adams also rose to meet a corner from Swift, but his firm header was tipped over the bar by Patterson. The midfielder received a knock in the 11th minute but continued and completed the full 90 minutes.

However, as Portsmouth bid for survival, Adams is one yellow card away from triggering a two-match suspension. He will need to navigate upcoming fixtures against Wrexham (A), Hull City (H), Blackburn Rovers (A), Swansea City (H), and former club Derby County (H) before the threat of a suspension is lifted.
So far this season, Adams has made eight appearances, completing six matches while scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Meanwhile, Adama Sidibeh scored his first league goal for Stockport County as the Hatters restored parity shortly before halftime against Wigan. Sidibeh connected with Diamond’s delivery from the right to convert from close range.
He had another chance in added time in the first half but blazed over the bar, while a goal-bound effort was later blocked by Morgan Fox. Sidibeh was eventually voted Man of the Match as Stockport County secured a convincing 4–1 victory over Wigan.
