The Brikama United’s prolific goal poacher, Mustapha Drammeh, has vowed to break the record for the most goals scored in the Gambia Football Federation Division 1 league.

The Brikama-born lethal striker, Mustapha Drammeh, is the joint record holder for the most goals scored in a season in the top-tier Gambian league when he scored 15 goals in 2015 to equal the record set by Modou Njie Sarr.

Mustapha has scored a goal in Brikama United’s last four matches.

Tapha, as he is fondly called, told reporters that after scoring his 14th goal of the season in Brikama United’s 2-0 win over Marimoo Pakfood, he would break and set a new record for him the number of goals scored in the GFF league.

“I want to break my record and set a new one, then see if anyone, if anyone, can break it. Nobody breaks it when I set the record; I will set a new one and see who will break it,” a confident Mustapha said.

The 24-year-old Gambian International, Mustapha Drammeh, enjoys a good season banging goals in all corners. Mustapha has scored a goal in Brikama United’s last four matches.

The former Bombada FC striker forecasts that if the satayba boys can keep their good run on form, they can even challenge the league title.

“I’m happy for the win. We task ourselves to win these matches. Alhamdulillah, we have won four in a row to be better in the league. We will like to keep on winning, and if we can close the significant gap at the top, why not we can challenge for the league?” Mustapha Drammeh said afterward.
