American tennis sensation Coco Gauff has been included in the entry list of players by the WTA to participate at the 2022 Stuttgart Open from 16 to 24 April. Making her debut in Stuttgart, Germany, Coco will be joined by a host of top WTA players with new world No.1 Iga Swatiek who had recently claimed both the Indian Wells and Miami Open titles making the top seed.

Maria Sakkari, Barbora Krejcikova, Aryna Sabalenka, Paula Badosa, Anett Kontaveit, Karolina Pliskova, Ons Jabeur, Danielle Collins, Jelena Ostapenko, Emma Raducanu, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Angelique Kerber, Victoria Azarenka, Elena Rybakina, Elina Svitolina, Tamara Zidansek, Daria Kasatkina and Liudmila Samsonova, will complete the list of top 20 players on the women’s tour.

Coco will later proceed to Spain where she is expected to compete at the WTA 1000 event (Madrid open) from April 26 to May 8, in preparation for the French Open tennis championships.

The 2022 French open also known as Roland Garros is scheduled to take place from Sun, May 22, to Sun, Jun 5, 2022, in Paris.

Only in her second appearance at the French Open last year, the young American reached her first Grand Slam quarterfinal with a crushing 6-3, 6-1 defeat of Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur. With that victory over Jabeur, Coco became the youngest woman to reach a grand slam quarterfinal since 2006.

Having already won two career singles titles and four doubles titles with her regular partner and close friend Caty MCNally of Cincinnati, Coco has now set her sights firmly on winning the first major title of a glittering young career which saw her become the youngest WTA titleholder at the Linz open since 2004.
