Former Casa Sport and Al Helal star Lamin Jarjue will join The Gambia U-23 team in Cotonou, Benin, ahead of The Gambia vs. Burkina Faso in the U-23 preliminary qualifier scheduled for 24th September 2022.
“I can confirm that Lamin Jarjue will be with the team for this coming preliminary qualifiers against Burkina in both legs. We have been in communication for a while regarding him coming to represent The Gambia. Still, the player had issues to settle and was concentrating on his new team. However, he told me some time ago that he is fully ready and wants to come and play for the country,” Abdou Jammeh, head coach of The Gambia U-23 team, told The Alkamba Times Sports.
“The team will fly out to Cotonou early Monday morning, and Lamin will join the rest of the team in the camp and other professional players who are invited for the qualifiers. The technical team will work with them and access their levels and help them to catch up with the core of the team who have been training for weeks now,” Jammeh added.
