On Wednesday, the Gambia Volleyball Federation and the United Arab Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding between two countries at a ceremony in The Netherlands.
The MOU will focus on volleyball development, exchange programs, use of Information Technology, coaches and referees programs, management programs, athletes development, National teams training camps, development of women teams, study tours, and beach volleyball activities but not limited to.
We have chosen the Gambia for the most straightforward reasons. That is, by far, one of the fastest growing National Federation in volleyball in Africa, and we have seen their recent exploits in Africa, says UAE president Abdullah Juma Aldermaki.
Done and dusted. Gambia has signed a comprehensive agreement and MOU with the United Arab Emirates to develop volleyball and beach volleyball in the two countries. Historic and very proud moment for me. Thank you, everyone, for making this day possible, Bai Dodou Jallow said.
The MOU is signed on a 4-year initial agreement, subject to renewal after the period.
