Ablie Jallow struck his fourth goal of the campaign as FC Metz edged. Quevilly-Rouen moved to 3rd place on the log following three victories.
Abdoulie Sanyang & Saikou Touray were handed a start in Grenoble Foot 38 4-2 win over Guingamp on Saturday. The victory saw GF38 climb to 5th place in the French League 2.
England
Salford City completed the double as they beat Sutton United 2-0, with captain Ibou Touray making his 250th Ammies appearance on Saturday.
Italy
Musa Barrow returned in Bologna’s 2-1 win against Udinese. The former Atalanta player almost scored a third goal as his curler came off the base of the far post, perhaps with the aid of Marco Silvestri’s fingertips.
Sheikh Sibi returned between the sticks for Virtus Verona in their stalemate with Pordenone Calcio. Sibi was unused in the last 14 league matches before returning to the starting XI for his eighth season appearance.
Turkey
Ali Sowe and MKE Ankaragücü’müz were handed a second consecutive away defeat. This time, it was against Adana Demirspor. Again, Sowe played the full throttle.
Ebrima Colley played 90mins in Fatih Karagümrük 2-2 draw against KASIMPAŞA on Sunday.
South Africa
Gambia U20 captain Kajally Drammeh came off the bench in Cape Town City’s 1-1 draw against Chippa. This is the former Real de Banjul winger’s 11th appearance for the citizens.
Friendly matches
Yankuba Minteh, voted as the Talent of the year on Friday following an impressive autumn 2022, scored the only goal in Odense BK’s 1-0 win over Næstved Boldklub in a friendly match.
Paide played their first preseason match against Tammeka Tartu; the game saw Goalkeeper Ebrima Jarju playing the first half, while midfielder Foday Darboe came in the second half. Unfortunately, paide lost 3-0.
