A hardworking immigrant from Gambia, Musa Suwareh, tragically died in a fatal truck crash on Interstate 68 in Maryland, USA, on Thursday, June 27, 2024
Musa’s courageous actions were celebrated as heroic. He bravely maneuvered his vehicle to prevent a collision with as many as 30 oncoming cars, ultimately saving the lives of other drivers on the road.
The Cumberland Fire Department reported that a 49-year-old truck driver in Lenexa, Kansas, managed to avoid approximately 30 cars before his truck eventually came to a fiery stop.
Rescuers and bystanders tried to free Mr. Suwareh from the truck, but he was trapped. The Cumberland Fire Department swiftly put out the fire, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
Friends and family described him as a hardworking man pursuing the American dream with hard work and dedication.
