The newly crowned champions of the Gambia first division League, Hawks FC, will face Guinean league champions Horoya AC in the Caf championship preliminary rounds next month.
“It’s confirmed that we have been drawn against Horoya AC from Guinea Conakry. We received the news this afternoon after the draw was conducted from CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt,” Pa Mass, team manager for Hawks FC, told the Alkamba sports.
The first leg of the preliminary qualifiers will start next month between 9th September to 11th September 2022, and the second leg will start from 16th September to 18th September 2022.
The winner between Hawks FC of The Gambia and Horoya AC of Guinea will meet the winner between Coton Sports (Benin) and Asec Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire) in the second round of the qualifiers.
