Gambian international James Gomez reacted after scoring his first goal of the season. The Gambian star played in all AC Horsens 14 league matches and excelled greatly.
“I can score such goals because we do it in the training ground; most of the time, the defenders go up when we have set pieces. We practice it and then apply it to games when the chances avail. My goal gave me confidence, and I can do more it’s a matter of time. Chances don’t normally come to kick. But I am good at shooting and can score at any given time. Even at the training ground, I keep on shooting. It’s one of my best goals,” Gomez emphasized.
“The AFCON helped me because I played against players playing in top leagues. Against Copenhagen in the league opener, the performance was top-notch. It gave us confidence. Being consistent has helped me. I train hard and extra. Danish league is physical and tactical; you have outstanding teams, they play the ball a lot, and you need strength and energy to catch up.” He added.
18-year- old Yankuba Minteh earned his name in the team of the week in Denmark following his exploits in Odense’s 3-1 win over Lyngby on Friday. The former Steve Biko winger has won two man-of-the-match awards this season.

Ebrima Jarju had a great outing in Tallinn, denying Levadia three crucial points. Jarju made nine saves from both halves.
