It was a fair weekend for Gambian players abroad with Lamine Jawo and Ebrima Singateh being the torchbearers as they scored for their respective clubs in the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, others such as Sheriff Sinyan also had impressive outing in Romania as CFR Cluj played 1-1 with Rapid Bucuresti.
In the Allsvenskan, Mjälly AIF beat AIK 2-0 to move four points clear on top of the table.

Czech Republic
The Czech Republic Chance League campaign kicked off over the weekend with both Ebrima Singhateh and Lamin Jawo finding the back of the net for their clubs. The latter settled for a draw.
Karvina registered a comfortable 2-0 win against Dukla Praha. Ebrima Singhateh gave the host the lead in the 26th minute following a set piece rebound. The former Paide forward beat the goalkeeper at close range. Singhateh went on to provide two goal-scoring opportunities in the 36th & 56th minutes, but teammates failed to convert them.
Elsewhere, FK Jablonec settled for a 1-1 draw against Sparta Praha. The first 20 minutes saw both teams creating goal-scoring opportunities. Lamin Jawo, who permanently moved to Jablonec, broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute with a well-struck goal. The visitors fought back and settled for a draw.
New signing Youssoupha Sanyang was an unused substitution in Slavia Praha’s 2-2 draw at home against Hradec.
Denmark
The 2025/2026 season kicked off over the weekend in all divisions in Denmark. Odense BK, who returned to the 3F Superliga, played a 3-3 draw against Midtjylland. James Gomez played the entire 90 minutes.
In Division 1, AC Horsens played a goalless draw against Aarhus FK. Alagie Saine was introduced in the second half to help defensively.
Sweden
Mjällby AIF edged AIK 2-0 on Sunday at the Strandvallen stadium. The goals came in the second half, with the first coming in the 53rd minute from a set piece. Abdoulie Manneh was close to making it 2-0 only to see his tap-in skied off after doing everything right.
In the Superettan, Kalmar FF were held at home at the Gulffågelen Arena following their 2-2 draw against IK Braga. Gibril Sosseh contributed to the second goal.
Estonia

The Gambian trio is settling in well, as in-form Pa Assan Corr scored back-to-back goals to inspire Paide to a 2-0 win. Corr, who scored on Thursday in the Europa Conference League qualifier , was put through on a 1v1 situation before beating the goalkeeper. Abdourahman Badamoesi, who replaced Corr, put the game beyond reach when he extended the host lead deep into the stoppage time. GK Ebrima Jarju was rested as they poised to welcome AIK in the second round of the Europa Conference League. Paide currently sits in 4th position with 41 points.
Romania
Sheriff Sinyan played the entire 90 minutes as CFR Cluj drew 1-1 against Rapid Bucuresti on Sunday.
