In a significant move to restructure and enhance operational efficiency within the Gambia Police Force (GPF), Inspector General Seedy M. Touray has announced a major reshuffle involving key appointments and redeployments across various departments.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Ebrima Bah, previously in charge of Operations, has been redeployed to Police Administration, while AIG Demba Sowe, formerly in Administration, will now serve as the Crime Management Coordinator (CMC). These changes reflect a strategic realignment of responsibilities within the force.

Commander Pater Sh. Jallow has succeeded his predecessor as Acting Chief of Operations at the force’s headquarters in Banjul. Commander Famara Jallow has been redeployed to the West Coast region, Commander Kalilu Njie to Licensing, and Commander Samba Jawo to Kanifing Municipality.

The Personnel Assistant (PA) to IGP Mustapha Ndong has been appointed the new Commander of Administration (ADM).

This reshuffle underscores the GPF’s commitment to optimizing its operational structure and leadership roles to serve the community better and enhance law enforcement efforts across various regions of The Gambia.
