Ebrima Tabora Manneh, Secretary General and Party Leader of the People Alliance Party (PAP), has laid an ambitious roadmap for The Gambia, centered on fostering unity, driving economic transformation, and empowering Gambian citizens.
In a recent N24 Radio 105.2 FM interview, Manneh shared his vision for a nation where every individual feels valued and connected, igniting hope among listeners.
Manneh underscored unity as the cornerstone of national progress, emphasizing the need to forge strong bonds among Gambians. “A united people are a strong people,” he said, pledging to cultivate an inclusive society where every citizen feels supported and empowered to contribute to the country’s development.
On the economic front, Manneh proposed a transformative agenda to revitalize The Gambia’s economy. He highlighted job creation and the promotion of local businesses as key priorities, drawing inspiration from the economic models of China and Singapore. Expressing concern over the dominance of foreign-owned businesses in the country, he advocated for policies that prioritize Gambian entrepreneurs, ensuring they receive the resources and opportunities needed to thrive.
Agriculture, a vital sector for The Gambia, also took center stage in Manneh’s plans. He committed to equipping farmers with essential tools—seeds, fertilizers, and modern equipment—to boost productivity and secure the nation’s economic future. “Investing in our farmers is investing in our well-being,” he remarked.
Manneh wrapped up his interview by calling for honest and loyal leadership, arguing that integrity is essential for delivering on the promises Gambians expect from their government. His vision has sparked widespread interest and anticipation, as citizens eagerly await how these ideas might translate into action if he assumes leadership.
With unity, economic empowerment, and strong governance at the heart of his platform, Manneh’s promises have set the stage for a compelling conversation as The Gambia looks toward its future.
