When TAT Sports asked him if he would one day love to play for the Gambia, Faal said:

“My dream is to play for the Gambia one day, I am still young, but I am hopeful of playing for the Scorpions. Despite playing in Belgium, and I can choose to play for Belgium too, my dream is to wear the Gambian Jersey and play for my beloved country of birth,” said Faal.
