Wagadu Football Club grabbed their first league match win of the season as they beat Jam City Football Club 3-2 in week four of the GFF Second Division League.

The Pythons made a dream start when Cheikhou Camara opened the scoring within the first three minutes. However, shortly before halftime, Jam City pegged back to level matters.

But Wagadu will still go on to take the lead on the 68th minutes when Musa Mariko scored the second goal that inspired Wagadu into a first home and league match win in the GFF second division league.

And the Basse Boys further went on to hold a pole position as Muhammed Konteh who is on loan from Jam City scored the third goal on his debut for Wagadu. The visitors too pulled out one on the 90 minutes, but that was never enough as Wagadu held on to a 3-2 win.

After three fruitless attempts, the URR representatives got rewarded with renewed energy and hope with a deaerve 3-2 over Jam City on match-day 4.

The pythons have now moved three place from the bottom of the table to 11-positon with 4 points in 4 games.

‘’This was like a final for us because we cannot afford to play 4 games without a win’’ Mustapha Coker, the Head Coach of Wagadu Football Club said.

” I am very happy for the boys with the fighting spirit and everything.’’ he added.

The pythons will end 2021 with an away match against fellow newcomers in the league from LRR, Dibba Oil on December 21st.
