Debut goals for Jah, Bamba, and Ceesay as Musa Barrow inspired Al Tawoon in the King’s Cup

Susso Bamba and Mustapha Jah kicked off the weekend for Gambian foreign-based players with an outstanding performance. The U20 duo scored their first goal of the season with Mustapha Jah netting his debut goal for Chindia in Romania’s second division.

Susso received the ball just outside the 18-yard box, did a small maneuver, and took a shot with his right foot to give NK Aluminij the lead in Slovenia. 

Several players, such as Bubacarr Sanneh, Lamara Jallow, and Ebrima Colley, debuted following their summer move. The Alkamba sports desk brings you the scorpions weekend round-up globally for week 38. 

 England 

Ebou Adams played his fourth Championship match for Cardiff City as they won at the Stadium of Light, thanks to Mark McGuinness’ late header. The midfielder replaced Joe Ralls in the 78th minute of the game. 

 Ibou Touray played the full throttle in League Two as Stock County registered their third straight win following the 5-0 thrashing of National League Champions Wrexham at Edgeley Park. 

 

Turkey 

Omar Colley who missed Besiktas JK’s 1-1 draw against Club Brugge returned to play the full game against Kayserispor which they eventually won by two goals to one.  

 Albania 

Ismaila Ceesay had the last laugh as the former Marimoo striker came off the bench to score the winner for Bylis in the 90th minute against Luzi in Albania’s First Division. 

 Austria 

Ebrima Darboe, returning from injury, has now featured in back-to-back home games for LASK. Following his Europa Conference match against Liverpool, the 22-year-old midfielder made his league debut against Hartberg, which ended in a stalemate. 

 Switerzland 

There was no Champions League hangover at the Wankdorf stadium as Young Boys beat Lugano 4-1. The game featured Gambina internationals Saidy Janko and Ebrima Colley who replaced Joel in the 46th minute. The former Hellas Verona loanee made an instant impact by assisting Fabien. Young Boys are flying with 14 points in six league matches. 

 Denmark 

Hamza set up Kristian six minutes after going behind. Hamza played the full throttle, whereas Musa Juwara came on in the second half as Vejle has now collected four points on the road following their 1-1 draw against Lyngby BK. 

Odense BK held on to a 1-1 draw until the 90th minute as Charles put Midtjylland in front again. Alasana Manneh played 90 minutes and was replaced by Mihajlo.

 Estonia 

Bubacarr Tambedou scored from the spot to increase his premium Liiga goals to eight in 21 matches. Saturday’s win against Pärnu JK made Paide jump to third position on the log; Alieu Gibba replaced Andrea Frolov for his debut as Goalkeeper Ebrima Jarju kept his 11th clean sheet. 

Foday Trawally lasted for 57 minutes in JK Tallinn’s narrow 1-0 defeat against FC Flora. 

Saudi Arabia 

Musa Barrow scored for the first time in the King Abdullah Sports City stadium; the Gambian international broke the deadlock in the 9th minute by sending in a rebound. This was his second goal in three matches. Sunday’s 2-1 win against Al Qadisiyah has sent Al Taawoun to the round of 16 in the King’s Cup.
