Kragujevac, Serbia – Gambian international Yankuba Jarju has signed with Serbian SuperLiga side Radnički 1923 Kragujevac after completing a move from French club Quevilly Rouen in a deal facilitated by eBanor Sports Agency.

The 29-year-old attacker, widely known for his technical brilliance and vision on the ball which earned him the nickname “Torres” joins Radnički on a two-year deal. He is expected to be a regular starter as the club looks to strengthen its attack following the departure of striker Milutin Vidosavljević.

Jarju brings a wealth of experience from France having spent seven seasons in the Championnat National. He had prolific spells at Pau and Cholet scoring 34 goals in 110 appearances for the latter. Most recently he featured for Quevilly Rouen where he registered three goals and an assist last season.

The transfer was successfully arranged by eBanor Sports a rising football agency with a focus on African talent. Speaking on the move Sheriff Jarjue CEO of eBanor Sports highlighted the significance of the deal not just for the player but for Gambian football as a whole.

“We’re excited to see Yankuba make this important step in his career” said Sheriff Jarju. “Radnički is a competitive club with great ambition and we’re confident he will thrive there. We also hope this move will open doors for other talented Gambian players to gain recognition and opportunities across Europe.”

The Kombo East born player has earned three caps for the Gambian national team and is known for his intelligent movement, close control and clinical finishing. Before moving to Europe he played for Gambian top-tier side Real de Banjul where he first made his mark as a promising forward.

His arrival in Serbia marks an exciting new chapter for both his career and for the growing influence of Gambian players abroad.
