The Gambians Against Looted Assets (GALA) movement has announced a significant reshuffle of its Central Committee following the resignation of the National Coordinator and the release of three other members. The newly formed leadership team is poised to steer the organization with renewed vigor and commitment to its goals of justice, accountability, and people empowerment.

The updated Central Committee features Hakeem Touray as the new National Coordinator, replacing the outgoing leader. Abdoulie T. Bah steps into the role of Organizing Secretary, while Kaddy Jadama takes charge as Head of Logistics. Fallou Gallas Ceesay will oversee Programs and Administration, and Alieu Bah has been appointed Coordinator of Political Education. Kemessing Sanneh is the new Head of Communications and Media, with Omar Saibo Camara serving as Spokesperson. Omar Sanyang rounds out the team as Secretary General, and Baboucarr Sey is the Treasurer.

In a statement, GALA emphasized that this formidable team will continue the movement’s fight against corruption and promote transparency across Gambian society. The organization has called on the public, allies, and progressive forces to recognize and engage with this leadership as the legitimate representatives of GALA’s mission.

The reshuffle comes as GALA seeks to deepen collaboration with comrades and partners in its ongoing struggle for an equitable society. The movement expressed gratitude for its base’s unwavering support and solidarity, reaffirming its dedication to the people’s power.

As GALA intensifies its efforts, all eyes will be on this new committee to deliver on its revolutionary promises.
