The Gambia Amputee male football team defeated the Zanzibar Amputee team 2 – 1 in a closely contested affair in the Amputee Africa Cup of Nations.
A delightful strike from Ousman Jatta and a brilliant header from Ebrima Jallow were all enough to earn The Gambia a vital 2 – 1 win.
The Gambia, which lost to Cameroon 3 – 2 in their first game will now take on Nigeria in their final group game.
This is the first time The Gambia is taking part in the Amputee championship which will also serve as a qualifier for the World Amputee football tournament to be held in Turkey.
