The former Vice President, Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang, is the latest to congratulate President-elect Adama Barrow on his victory in Saturday’s polls.
But the former country’s No. 2 was quick to advise President Barrow to promote democracy, rule of law and respect for human rights.

As President and Father of the Nation, it is important that you urgently establish a national peace infrastructure focusing on effective social dialogue to facilitate the much needed national cohesion, sustainable peace and development.”
